The biggest problem with Political Correctness

To me, the biggest problem with political correctness is that it inhibits any meaningful discussion of diversity issues. When you said some sensitive subjects related to race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or physical ability, no matter how careful you tried to organize your words, you were doomed to get some people offended. They got offended even when they agreed with you. "I agree with you on your point, but the way you said it indicates that you were ..." They seem knowing your intention better than you. Sometimes, they even got offended by the facts they don't like. They'd like to make diversity subjects taboo and muzzle you from talking about anything they didn't feel comfortable.
I don't think it's the right thing to do by pretending that the world is perfect; the disadvantaged groups never did anything wrong. When there are problems, turn a blind eye to them will result in bigger problems.
