If you want to see a movie, how much do you prepare? It depends on where you live. I live in a rural area which has no cinema. To be precise, there is certainly a small cinema 40 km away from here and you can enjoy new movies six month late if you want. This is one of the reasons why I hardly go to see a movie. It costs more than 8,000 yen to see a movie for me. I have to go to another town which has a cinema, and the place is 85 km away. I can't enjoy movies on late evening, if I do so, I have to book a hotel there.
Last week I bought a DVD of a movie. It was made in Germany so its title is German: "Das Leben der Anderen / The Life of Others (maybe, I guess). I couldn't find it on YouTube, so I decided to buy. I paid for it by a credit card and it was only 1,900 yen, cheaper than a new movie at a cinema. I find it very reasonable, however, you might not agree with me. That's just because you don't lived in this city nor imagine how the life in a countryside is.
On the other side, you can get something in a cheaper price around here. I really don't eat them often, but crabs are very cheap. In Tokyo I saw a woman eating crab meat on a small plate, and it was several thousand yen. You can buy a number of whole crabs in a good quality for several thousand yen, if you come here.
