When I talk about my travel plan to France, people always mention French people don't like English. I'm not sure about it yet but I will actually know in two days. I have been to France 15 years ago, and at that time people were all nice to me. My experience might have been a very rare exception. I construct a hypothesis: Good English annoys French people, but they are nice to a tourist with poor English.
If my hypothesis is correct, my journey will be comfortable again.
My English language partner warned me of the actual danger I will encounter in France. I am going to visit a town near the sea. If I can, I want to go to the beach. She said to me, "You will see many naked people on the beach, and not all of them are beautiful!"
Her warning made me burst into laughter. In Japan, you don't expect to see naked bodies on the beach, but only in Onsen. She also predicted that taking photos on the beach will be embarrassing. Certainly a photo of me in bikini and naked tourists on the beach will not be a good one to put on Facebook. However, I want to take such "dangerous" photos only to show my family.
