I am so grateful to all of your help. I will take an English test next Sunday. I had been procrastinating my preparation until the end of April. When I started my study for the test, I didn't expect to get that huge help from you all. I hope I have been helping someone as well.

Would you please correct my essay below? I would be grateful if you could show me more proper ways to express my opinions and terms to know.

[Task] Write an essay on the given topic. Structure: Introduction, main body, and conclusion. Suggested length: 120-150 words.

[Topic] There should be limits for genetic engineering of humans

My answer: I agree with the idea that there should be limits for genetic engineering of humans for the following two reasons.
First, from an ethical standpoint, we should draw a boundary line to ban arbitrary use of of genetic engineering of humans. Modern technologies makes things possible that were written in science fiction novels as unlikely ideas. I remember two extreme examples from a science fiction story and it seems to be likely to happen in the future. A man wants to have 100 of beautiful daughters and the high reproductive medical technology makes his wish come true. Also, a rich family members have their clones, because they think they need a young body to transplant their brain when they become old. In these cases, the human rights of the children are neglected. If there are no limits for genetic engineering of humans, people would do anything following their own purpose, but children's rights would be abused.
Second, the social security system has not yet been sufficient or mature enough to adopt many orphans who have been left by their old parents. If old people only want to spend some years with their children but not care about how they could bring up their children until reaching their majority, their children might have to undergo a harder life.
For these reasons, I agree with the idea that there should be limits for genetic engineering of humans.
