A simple greeting can go a long way

I like simple greetings in English. For expample,"How are you?""How is your weekend?""Have a nice rest of the day.""I had a nice talking to you.""Thank you for ~~~" etc..
We don't have such greetings in Japan.We say "おはよう"(ohayou).It's a literal meaning is kind of "it's early time".
It doesn't mean a lot.
We say "ありがとう"(thank you)but always don't say in detail.
I like the communication in English.
