There is a radio program titled “子ども科学電話相談,“ or Science Q&A for Kids.

It’s a live program where children call the radio station to ask questions about science and experts answer through the phone.

It’s popular not only to children but also to adults.

I like it, too.

The other day, a nine-year-old girl asked if plants communicate with each other.

She has an experience of growing four morning glories.

She erected a support column for them.

Although some of the plants were a little apart from the column but they were able to reach and twin around it.

It looked to her that the one closer to the column told the others where the column was.

I couldn’t help but smile when I listened to it.

What a lovely idea!

Come to think of it, vines move around just like talking to someone.

However, the answer to the question was, of course, quite scientific, not like a fantasy.
