Apparently, Japanese people are interested in food. However, I disagree that Japanese people eat less healthy food than they used to for the following reasons.
First of all, the way of life in Japan has changed on a large scale. More and more Japanese tend to buy food mainly in convenience stores. Certainly, they can go there easily, but food that is sold there is usually undesirable in quality. Consequently, they should consider the quality that it has too much.
Secondly, the number of Japanese who prefer foreign food to their traditional one is increasing. The former appears to be attractive to them, especially to younger people. However, Japanese should eat the latter, which is suitable to their health.
For these reasons, I believe that Japanese eat less food which allows them to keep healthy.
