I decided to sell two of my cars, because I was told by my company to go back to Japan permanently after five-year-stay in the US. I had a salesperson of a used car dealership come over to my place to assess the cars. I didn't want to waste my precious time by negotiating a lot of dealerships. I learned how to sell a car at maximum price when I sold my car last time. After inspecting the cars, the salesperson tried to ask at what price I wanted to sell them. I just told him to give me his price first. Then, he showed me evaluations by Kelly Blue Book. I told him that Kelly tended to give a lower range of evaluations. He finally gave me the price, but I thought there was still room for negotiation. When I told him that I would go to the CarMax tomorrow, he gave me the higher price than I expected. I was happy about it.
