I already wrote here about the best female sniper of WWII. Here a link to this entry.

Completely random I watched a short episode of this film on TV. But I switched the channel when the commercials started and forgot about it. I came across an OST of this movie on the Internet about two weeks after that. In this movie used a song that I searched on the Internet. That why I've seen this film. There are a lot Russian's movies about WWII. They usually are similar to action movies. Too much shooting, blood and supermen are in these films. But this film narrates about a real young woman. I found her biography on the Internet. I understood that director of film added fiction too much. Recently I've read the memoirs of this woman. It was very interesting. She was a usual girl. She studied history at the university. The war changed her life completely. She had meetings with Stalin, Roosevelt and Chaplin. An American company suggested her five hundred thousand dollars (500 000) for participation in the advertising of cigarettes. Somehow this figure has doubled in the film.)) An American millionaire asked her to marry. She had a choice - to be a millionaire's wife or return to the front. She came back to Russia.
I was surprised that a girl who corrected my first entry watched this film. She is from Canada. I knew nothing about it until recently. Here is a real picture of Lady Death and a cover of magazine. By the way, she was hurt when American journalists called her like this.
