I really enjoy reading an explanation of different English idioms. Because idioms are a quite important part of any language. So here it is one of the Russian idioms that I use quite often: "Выйти из себя". It seems to be really funny when I start thinking about its literal meaning. The literal translation in English is to come out of yourself. The idiom can be used to describe your condition when you are too angry and cannot control yourself anymore. If I understand correctly English idiom with a similar meaning is "To fly off the handle".
