When I passed by Lake Yamanakako the other day, I saw several swans there. So I parked the car and went down to see them. Every year swans come to the lake in winter, but the number of them seemed to be a bit smaller this year. I noticed one of them moving forward, leaning forward as if its neck was skimming the surface of the lake. I had never seen swans in such posture. I thought it might have some special meaning for the posture and did a search at home, but I couldn’t find any information about it. Probably it just wanted to move fast.
