In the first part of Autobiography, Franklin showed his way of dealing with ordinary life; his way is not the key to life. When he tired to match a Relation's Daughter, he "expected as much money with their Daughter as would pay off his remaining debt". Franklin thought marriage equals money. Since Franklin's altitude, based on Vaugh's thought, is the key to life; if any young adult tried to mimic Franklin's altitude, there will be no marriage based on love, only based on money. It would be a disaster for letting young adult to learn Franklin;s way as the key to life. Franklin's altitude about marriage is definitely not the key to life
